Kickin Pink

We want to invite the community, to experience for the first time, a movie in Grayson Stadium. Not from the stands, but from the field. Bring a blanket, bring a friend, bring your PINK and bring your support for Breast Cancer & Reconstruction Awareness.

Date: October 26, 2017

Location: Grayson Stadium

Gates Open: 6:00pm-Dark

Gametime: 7:00pm

With the proven success, teamwork and creative thinking of the Savannah Bananas Organization, we wanted to take it a step further and lock successful season. With over 18 sellouts, 90,000 attendees and revived energy at the Grayson Stadium, we asked if we could take the field one more time this year, as amateurs.  All are welcome to sit on the field, cheer on a 3 inning game with some of the biggest names in Georgia, Savannah and our local community. After the game we are turning on the big screen and watching the winning movie from the infield.

Playground rules: Simple kickball, played like baseball, the object is to score more runs than the opposing team. In short, games are played with 11 fielders, 3 innings, 2 base coaches, bounces, no head shots, one base on an overthrow, forced outs, no ghost men, and bunting is allowed so get a good catcher on your team. The following rules will govern all kickball games. For the enjoyment of all, proper respect and civility is required of all participants toward one another. No crying or finger pointing.

Rule Modifications: If a ball is kicked over the fence and a fan catches the ball in the air, that is considered an out. At any point a player can substitute his kicking position prior to stepping to the plate.

In the tradition of a classic baseball game we not leaving anything out. We have invited a celebrity (in our minds) to sing the National Anthem, a special guest to rollout the first pitch, an honorable leader to spearhead the “2nd Inning Stretch”, a LIVE jumbotron on the field commentary, legally blind but qualified umpires and of course Split. Each team will have three catches, one for each inning.

Bring the family, bring a blanket, bring your support and bring your PINK. The intent is to fill the field (infield and outfield) with support, all things PINK and awareness for Breast Cancer and Breast Cancer Reconstruction. Gates open at 6:00, game starts at 7:00.

Wear your PINK, bring your PINK and most importantly your support. We want to thank the Savannah Bananas for giving us this opportunity to fill the field with support.
